HTC 10 -- More than just changing the name

HTC 10
For some years, HTC has been releasing their flagship phones under the one series. With the new HTC 10, they just did not changed the name, but are planning to bring a whole new series of flagships in the upcoming years.

But, after all the surprising teasers and the new, bold and powerful look, does the new HTC 10 really stand out against it's competitors at a price of 699 USD?? Let's find out.

Naming--  HTC says that they wanted to change the name and bring a whole new series of flagship devices with the 10 branding. They say that the number 10 is a very lucky number.. and all that.

The new case that replaces the Dot View Case
Design-- In the design department also, a number of things have changed. body is made of aluminium, and some say that it is a little uncomfortable to hold in hand after a while. Anyways, moving on..
The antenna lines are still there. I just loved the design of the LG G5, how they managed to hide the antenna lines with a fine layer of paint over the aluminium.
Instead of touch buttons, the capacitive keys are back into action, with the fingerprint sensor in the home button. Speaking of the sensor, the sensor is pretty fast and responsive.

The audio quality through the earpiece is very nice. And speaking of audio, The boom-sound is back into action. But this time, the placements of the speakers are a little different. Instead of dual speakers, the earpiece also acts as twitters, and the main speaker is in the bottom of the phone. The audio quality is very nice on the phone.

Hardware -- The HTC 10 just runs in a wild pace in the hardware section, with Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM, and Adreno 530 GPU. The internal memory is of either 32 or 64 GB , and can be expanded up-to 200GB with the help of micro sd card in a dedicated slot.

Display -- The HTC 10 has a 5.2 inches "Super LCD5 capacitive" Quad-HD touch screen. HTC claims that it can produce far more better colours that normal IPS LCD screens.
And the screen is covered with Corning's Gorilla Glass 4.

Software -- The phone runs on the refined sense UI on android Marshmallow.
HTC teamed up with google to only give the best apps of the two worlds. that means that now onwards, there will be no two camera apps, only the HTC camera. Nad there will be no two gallery apps, only Google photos.
Likewise, there will be less bloatware, and more space will be free in the first boot.

Camera --  The camera division of the HTC 10 is very powerful. The phone has a 12 megapixel (Or 4ultrapixel) Camera, with Optical Image Stabilization , dual tone LED flash, and laser autofocus.
The front facing camera is of % megapixels, which also has autofocus, and Optical Image Stabilization. This Feature is hardly found in any smartphone front cameras. Looks like HTC has worked very hard to get the selfies right...

The battery is of 3000mAh. Though the battery is not that big on pen-and-paper, but HTC claims that the phone would last nearly two days with a single time of charge.

The phone supports the new Qualcom quickcharge 3.0, with the fast-charger provided in the box. The phone would take only 15 minutes to charge from 0-50% .
The charger is designed in such a way to keep it off overheating..

Concluding -- The HTC 10 is a brand new phone for the HTC family. The phone has got lots of responsibilities to hold the company. Will it be able to do so by delivering a great performance, great sound, camera, and touch quality like it used to do earlier?? Only time will tell...

Till then, that's it for now.
